Developing the Site

We are delighted to have got the site up and running with a small group of volunteers and of course the support of the Fund. Currently you can see the infrastructure of the site and the different ways that you can contribute. Thanks to the family of Ken Cooper, we have a great deal of source material that we are cataloguing and preparing for sharing on the site in a phased way in the next few months.
Going forwards, we need people who can help in the following ways :
- Donate historical resources – photos, documents – with a system in place for gaining your agreement for how the materials can be used, stored and shared.
- Write detailed but concise stories, particularly where the themes are currently not well represented
- Get out and about in town, photographing buildings and events that could be tomorrow’s heritage archive gems.
- Those who don’t mind working on the “back end” of the site – uploading resources to the catalogue and performing basic housekeeping tasks.
You need no existing expertise as we will happily provide you with all of the skills necessary.
