Site Description : Round Green Tavern formerly known as The Shepherd and Flock - This inn has been trading since at least 1840. It was purchased in 1862 by Simpson’s Brewery of Baldock and by 1876 the tenant was Samuel Hyde.Georgian style façade including parapet, first floor six over six timber sash windows with red brick arches and keystones. Ground floor: two arched, entrance recesses flanking a single large, multi-pane window with dripstone moulding.
